

The British High Commission in Bandar Seri Begawan marked the ‘200 Days To Go’ till the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympics Games by raising the London 2012 flag for the first time at the front of their office premises today. The flag-raising was officiated by Dr John Murton, Head of East Asia and Pacific Department (EAPD), UK’s Foreign and Commonwealth Office, while on his first official visit to Brunei and the British High Commissioner to Brunei, His Excellency Rob Fenn. A majority of the High Commission staff was also present to join in on the ceremony.
British Embassies and High Commissions around the world have unveiled the official London 2012 flags, through various flag-raising ceremonies on Monday, 9th January. The London 2012 flags will be hoisted on several milestone dates in lead up to the Olympics on 27th July 2012. London 2012 will be the first Olympics to be the most sustainable games yet.
